LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A Little Rock School District teacher is speaking out tonight after the sudden change of superintendents this week.

The Jefferson Elementary School educator says the atmosphere among coworkers has dimmed since the announcement Superintendent Baker Kurrus will be replaced.

Teresa Knapp Gordon says the change will cause strain on student learning because of program changes.

Gordon says teachers are uneasy about new Superintendent Michael Poore not being from central Arkansas and question his plans with the district.

Poore is set to start July 1.

Teachers say they will fight to get the decision overturned.
