LR Board of Directors stall vote deciding on mayor’s special election proposal for penny sales tax

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The City of Little Rock Board of Directors stalled the vote tonight on an ordinance that was proposed by Mayor Frank Scott Jr. to hold a special election to levy a general penny sales and compensating use tax.

A special meeting has been called for next week where the board is expected to discuss the proposed special election again.
