Little Rock woman robbed of purse, walker

Local News

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A 66-year-old Little Rock woman was robbed of her purse and her walker while on a trip to the grocery store.

Hiding her identity, she says on Wednesday evening the young man approached her on the sidewalk and said hi.

“He didn’t look like he was over 20,” she said.

She says he quickly changed his tune by grabbing her purse hanging from her walker.

“He couldn’t get it off the walker so he just took the walker.”

According to the police report, the suspect ran down Springer and disappeared.

“Where ever it was he ran like I was a boogerbear and he just ran as fast as he could.”

After the suspect pushed her down and stole her walker, a passerby came through and that stranger picked her up and took her home.

The woman has a message to the young man who targeted a woman with a walker. “If you’re a coward and you keep doing the things that you’re doing you will be in prison or dead.”

He took her walker, and her purse that had her bus pass inside. She says now she had no way of transportation.

She hopes the suspect learns his lesson before it’s too late.

“Just keep it up and he’ll be down in prison one day if he keeps up his shenanigans.”

She says she can’t afford to buy a new walker or a new bus pass. If you would like to help this women, text 501-516-0239 or email ssharp@kark.com.
