LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Little Rock's 'Capitol View' neighborhood is home to a lot of history and a lot of people.
"I moved here when I got married," Juannelle Adkins says.
She has had this view for the last 47 years.
"Well, it's convenient to the freeway, and it's convenient to downtown," Adkins says.
But, after an undercover investigation, some people's view of this community might go south.
Little Rock police arrested 23-year-old Anthony Atkins -- no relation to Juannelle -- on Monday for sex trafficking a 17-year-old girl.
The girl told detectives she had nowhere to go after being left at a bus stop last month.
She said she knew Atkins through Instagram, and he agreed to let her stay at his house on Appianway Street only if she worked for him.
"It does concern me though, knowing it was that close," Adkins says.
According to court documents, Atkins advertised the girl online.
She told detectives if she came home from a date without money, he would choke, beat up and threaten to kick her out.
She said Atkins would check to make sure she wasn't hiding money, forcing her to strip naked, sometimes in public parking lots.
The teen also said Atkins offered her Adderrall so she would be available for dates at all times.
An undercover detective booked a date with the teen who led officers to Atkins.
The case now casts a shadow over a view many, like Juannell, enjoy from the front porch.
"It's a cruel world," Adkins says.
Anthony Atkins remains in the Pulaski county jail on a $20,000 bond.
Detectives say they seized multiple electronics from his home.
