Jacksonville police overtime investigation

JACKSONVILLE, Ark. — You are not suppsoed to get paid for time you have not worked, the basis for an audit inside the Jacksonville Police Department.

Some officers may have been paid overtime they didn’t work, the allegation is being investigated by the State Legislative Audit and Department of Finance and Administration.

The payments allegedly happened between 2008 and 2015 while Gary Sipes was police chief.
