Gov. Hutchinson signs student-athlete publicity rights bill into law

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Governor Hutchinson signed into law Wednesday a bill that allows student-athletes in Arkansas to profit off their image and likeness.

The bill who was proposed by House Speaker Matthew Shepherd and Senator Bart Hester allows student athletes in Arkansas to do endorsement deals and to use their own name, image and likeness.
