Four People Killed at Railroad Crossing in Eastern Arkansas

TILTON, Ark. — Two Men and two women are dead after their car was struck by a train in Cross County.

44-year-old John Miller of Orange Park, Florida was driving the vehicle.

He died, along with three passengers: 48-year-old Joetta Honey of Jonesboro, 30-year-old Nicholas Newton of McCrory, and 21-year-old Kayanna Newton, also from McCrory.

It happened shortly before 6:00 p.m. on a private drive off Highway 49.

According to a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, the Hyundai Sonata driven by Miller was struck by a southbound train at the railroad crossing.

The weather was clear at the time.

The investigation into the crash is continuing.
