WARREN, Ark.-- Arkansas State Police are investigating a homicide in Warren. It happened around 11:30 Friday night.
ASP identified the victim as 29-year-old Caleb White.
White's family described him as a hardworking husband and father. His wife is pregnant with their second child who will now never have a chance to meet its father.
Kelley Street was quiet Saturday afternoon in the small town of Warren.
We met White's aunt outside his home on Kelley Street.
"I didn't believe it. I still don't. I don't believe it. I'm in disbelief," his aunt Lawonda Gaines told us.
She stopped outside her nephew's home where we learned he and his wife raise five kids.
She said, "He had a great job. He was actually a supervisor (and) went to work faithfully. He took care of his kids (and) family."
ASP said Friday night Warren police officers responded to a shooting and found White shot and killed inside a parked truck alone Kelley Street.
"He was really a quiet person. He was quiet he didn't bother nobody [sic]. He'd give you anything he got anything. He'd give you the world if he had it."
The 29-year-old's wife told us off camera he helped raise her 4 kids; they had a son together. She's pregnant with their second child.
Gaines said, "You can ask anybody. He didn't bother nobody, nobody. He would help anybody."
Gaines was shocked, confused and asking how it could happen. She also asked how could it happen in a quiet town like Warren.
"I was like 'What? What happened?' You don't hear about that around here," she said.
The family prays for people to remember not how White died but how the hardworking husband and dad lived.
According to ASP White's body has been sent to the state crime lab to confirm the cause and the manner of death.
No arrest had been made by Sunday's press release we received around 2:30 p.m.
ASP said in that release investigators were still questioning people who were at the scene at the time of the shooting.
