GARLAND COUNTY, Ark – An elderly couple is recovering after armed robbers burst through their door and demanded money.
The couple said they were preparing dinner Monday afternoon when a stranger came to the door asking for help with his car. The man then kicked in the door and the couple said they were thrown to the floor and the man put a gun in their face.
The couple is elderly, both nearly 85-years-old, and they said they were scared for their lives.
“He kicked the door in and knocked me down and stuck the gun right in my face,” said victim Harvey Parker.
“It makes you realize what you have and how quickly you could lose it,” said victim Mary Nell Parker.
The homeowners say the robbers left with three pistols and cash. Deputies described the suspects as two white males wearing dark hoodies and jeans. Neighbor said they are keeping a look out for anyone suspicious.
