LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - A Pine Bluff man is being held on a DWI third offense at the Pulaski County Jail after authorities say he was found passed out in a car with a baby in the backseat.
Lawrence E. Langel, 26, was arrested shortly before 7 a.m. Monday in a parking lot in south Pulaski County.
That's where the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) says he was found inside the car on a parking lot and the vehicle was still running. Deputies had been called to the area after receiving numerous calls of a suspected drunk driver on I-530 in which the car got off on Dixon Road.
The PCSO says Langel admitted driving the vehicle and after arriving at the jail he blew a .14 BAC, nearly twice the legal limit.
Other charges that Langel faces include: Driving on a Suspended License and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.
His jail booking record also shows a probation revocation as well as warrant holds for DeWitt Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
Langel has a court date scheduled for next month.
