Digital Original: Young entrepreneur opens mobile dog grooming business

Local News

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- Bathing and grooming our pets. It’s a task some leave up to the professionals.

But what if the professional could come directly to you?

That’s exactly what 20-year-old Jayla Hopson is doing with her new business “Jayla’s Bark and Bubbles Dog Groomer.”

It’s a mobile dog grooming service that when booked by appointment, she will come out to you and your furry friend.

“I really like my job,” explains Jayla Hopson. “I’ve always wanted to work with animals since I was young.”

Just three weeks into her new business this young entrepreneur has a packed schedule.

Hopson, with the help of her mother, opened up her business.

However, Hopson manages her time, clients, and the finances of the business.

“It’s definitely all for them,” says Hopson. “It just makes my day greater to see them both extremely happy.”

Jayla is a licensed professional dog groomer and most recently turned business owner.

As a young entrepreneur, Jayla says she understands the frustrations but hopes others will see this as an inspiration.

“Just follow your dreams,” Hopson says. “Anytime you feel like things are getting hard just push forward, persevere and just go for it. There is nothing that can stop you but you so just go for it.”
