DARDANELLE, Ark. – A former janitor at Dardanelle Middle School was arrested on Friday and accused of sending inappropriate images of himself to students, deputies say. 

The Yell County Sheriff’s Office said Matthew A. Marcellus, 32, was taken into custody after reports surfaced that he sent inappropriate images of himself to middle school students. 

He sent “obscene” images to at least one eighth grade student via text messages and is also accused of buying gifts for another eighth grade student, deputies said. 

Marcellus faces a charge of sexual indecency with a child, and his bond has been set at $10,000.
