PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. – Authorities investigate a deadly house fire Wednesday.
The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office says the fire happened around 2:30 p.m. north of Jacksonville at the 8800 block of Peters Road.
A neighbor saw the home go up in flames and called for help. Deputies say an older man was trapped inside the home and died.
A deputy did receive smoke inhalation and was transported to a local hospital. The sheriff’s office says he is in good condition.
The road is closed at this time.
