GENTRY, Ark. (KNWA) — UPDATE: A 1-year-old boy died in a Northwest Arkansas house fire on Saturday, according to Gentry Fire Chief Vester Cripps.
Cripps said the family was outside the house when the fire started, but the 1-year-old ran back inside to save a pet and died.
The cause of the fire and death remain under investigation.
