LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- Business owners in an area of west Little Rock are coming together to rebrand their corner of commerce.
They want to attract more people and more enthusiasm to the Rodney Parham corridor, from Hinson to Reservoir.
They've formed a board and committee, along with a logo and a name. They want to call the area West Village.
They say it's an area ripe for growth and development, as a destination part of the city.
"What we're trying to do is create a brand here, like we have in Little Rock that have been very successful," says Jim Alley, Co-Owner of Guillermo's Coffeehouse. "We've all heard of Hillcrest and Heights, and Argenta, and SoMa and East Village; and now, we've got a West Village opportunity."
The group plans to hold a launch event next spring.
Right now, they are canvassing businesses along the corridor to get more people involved.
