Arkansas tow truck driver accused of raping young girls

Local News

MORRILTON, Ark. — A Conway County tow truck driver is facing felony rape and sexual assault charges.

Investigators say Michael Driver, 36, raped multiple young girls inside his tow truck last year.

The Morrilton Police Department is not saying how many alleged victims there are, just that they are aged 12 to 16.

This was Driver’s third rape arrest.

Driver was released on bond on the prior two rape arrests.

The tow truck company Driver worked for says he was fired as soon as they learned of the allegations against him.

According to a Morrilton Police Department affidavit, some of the alleged incidents happened inside the tow truck Driver drove for Cogswell Towing, as well as in Cogswell’s Morrilton garage.

“At Cogswell Towing, our paramount concern is the safety of customers and others. To that end we conduct background checks on all new employees and in the event an employee is alleged to have been involved in any act that would be illegal or in violation of company policies, we take immediate action. Mr. Driver was terminated as an employee immediately upon our learning of these allegations.” – Cogswell Towing
