LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A local man is dead after a single vehicle accident on the interstate Tuesday night.
The deadly accident happened around 7:11 p.m. on I-430 and Shackleford, according to Arkansas State Police.
The victim was identified as Rifat Qattum, 47, of Little Rock, by state police.
The incident report states a 2006 Suzuki left the roadway and the driver was thrown into cable barriers. The vehicle came to rest on the right shoulder.
Arkansas Department of Transporation says it took about an hour to clear the accident.
The body is being held at the Pulaski County Morgue.
