LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – An investigation is underway into an overnight homicide.

The Little Rock Police Department (LRPD) says it happened in the area of 24th & Elm shortly after midnight Monday. The area is in a neighborhood several blocks north of Asher Avenue.

Officers were called to the scene after someone reported seeing a motorcycle in the middle of the street and a man lying beside it.

The victim has been identified as Mikhal Dalove Bailey, 22, of Little Rock. Police say he died from a gunshot wound.

A witness told police they heard about 20 shots from what sounded to be coming from at least three different guns.

Detectives say the 2006 Yamaha J50 motorcycle Bailey was riding had been reported stolen in February.

The death is the city’s 18th homicide of the year.
