LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Little Rock Board of Directors gained a new member on Wednesday.

The board has selected Virgil Miller to replace the late Erma Hendrix who died in September.

That Ward 1 seat has been vacant for the past month.

Miller is the senior vice-president at Metropolitan National Bank.

He also served on the boards of dozens of community groups and is a long-time Ward 1 resident.
