Jacksonville Chief of Police “forced to resign,” city says

JACKSONVILLE, Ark. – The leader of the Jacksonville Police Department (JPD) has reportedly been forced to resign.

That’s according to a city spokesperson.

John Franklin stepped down on Tuesday. He had been sworn in as JPD police chief in June 2018.

An interim chief has been named.

No other details are yet available.
