COVID-19 in Arkansas: ADH reports 2,117 new cases, 13 deaths

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – According to data released by the Arkansas Department of Health, there was an increase in fully vaccinated Arkansans in the last 24 hours.

Vaccinations for COVID-19 continue to increase with the number of Arkansans becoming fully immunized now at 1,123,588, an increase of 6,858 in the last 24 hours.

Partially vaccinated Arkansans went up to 351,008, with an increase of 1,070.

Hospitalizations jumped by 6 putting the total at 25,721 patients in Arkansas with COVID-19.

There are 5 less patients on ventilators in the last 24 hours, putting the total at 291.

There are 23 more people in intensive care with COVID-19.

The ADH report shows an increase of 13 new deaths of patients with COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

Health officials 2,117 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total case count to 418,290. The active case count went up to 25,721 after an increase of 546 active cases.

Governor Hutchinson released a statement in response to the new numbers reported Saturday:

“Today’s report shows some improvement from last week. Vaccinations are up and new cases are down, but we still are seeing strain on our hospitals. @ADHPIO has vaccine clinics across the state, and it’s available in your community.”
