CARES Act funding approved for teachers, school staff


LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The CARES Act funding has been approved for teachers and school staff.

Governor Asa Hutchinson asked for $20 million in CARES Act funding for the COVID-19 emergency leave for school employees.

What does this mean for teachers and school staff?

If teachers end up testing positive for COVID-19 while on the job they can be paid for the time spent in quarantine.
