Fourth Suspect Arrested in KS Couple Murder Investigation

VAN BUREN, Ark. – Van Buren Police have arrested a fourth suspect in connection to a homicide investigation of a Kansas couple. 

Christine Marie Tenney, 37, of Sante Fe, TX. was taken into custody around 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Three carnival workers were arrested earlier this month, accused of killing Alfred “Sonny” and Pauline Carpenter in Great Bend, Kansas, and burying their bodies in Crawford County. Rusty Frasier, 35, of Texas, Michael Fowler, 54, of Florida, and Kimberly Younger, 52, of Texas (alias – Myrna Khan) were all given $1 million bonds. 

Tenney faces charges of abuse of a corpse, felony theft by receiving, tampering with physical evidence, and obstruction of governmental operations. 

She is being held at the Crawford County Detention Center on no bond. 

Van Buren Police did not release any further details.
