FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — A former Razorback and NBA player was arrested the evening of Saturday, July 22 for driving while intoxicated.
Ronnie Brewer Jr. was stopped Saturday night after an officer witnessed him revving the engine of his vehicle at a traffic light. Upon leaving the light, the officer observed Brewer swerving over the center line.
Brewer was administered a field sobriety test, which seemed to suggest he was intoxicated. But Brewer refused to take a Breathalyzer test.
Brewer was transported to the Washington County Detention Center and was turned over to jail officials.
He was released about an hour later on a $1,055 bond.
A court date has been set for August 21 in Fayetteville.
