Flash Flood Watch for large part of Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Flash Flooding will remain possible through tonight over a large portion of Arkansas.

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect through Saturday morning for parts of central, north central, northeast, southwest and western Arkansas.

Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected through Saturday morning. Heavy rain will be possible and could lead to flash flooding.

Much of the area has seen up to several inches of rain in recent days and an additional 1 to 2 inches of rain with isolated higher amounts is expected through tonight.

In addition to the flash flood threat, ongoing river flooding is expected to be aggravated by this rainfall.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding.
