Tomorrow busiest tax day of the year, IRS says

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The IRS says tomorrow, the day after Presidents’ day is always its busiest day of the year.

Millions of Americans take the holiday weekend to work on their federal income taxes.

But this year is different because of the new tax law.

Even though a lot of people are getting smaller refunds, they’re also getting more money in their paycheck, week over week.

The IRS says it’s ready to help people who may be confused about their returns.

There’s free help available through IRS.gov, by phone, and even in person.

“We have taxpayer assistance centers around the country, which can be found on IRS dot gov, they are by appointment only though.”

If you are getting a refund this year, the IRS says you should get your money back fairly quickly.

It expects to issue 90 percent of refunds within 21 days.
