NORTH LITTLE ROCK,AR – The congregation of a local church spent their Super Bowl Sunday serving others.
The Lakewood United Methodist Church in North Little Rock cut their services early to have a party.
That party involved packing over 15,000 meals for the hungry.
The church partnered with The Pack Shack to make the meals and send them off to a local food bank.
“We wanted to challenge the congregation to do something bold on Super Bowl Sunday. To leave and do a bold thing. So instead of challenging them to leave and do it, we wanted to do it this morning. So, it was a perfect ministry opportunity,” says Pastor Luke Conway.
Those meals will be delivered to Garnder UMC Food Pantry in North Little Rock later this week.
