Faith Matters: Triple Threat Still Singing in the Choir amid Growing National Success

BENTON, AR – Benton’s own Triple Threat won hearts around the country on NBC’s hit show America’s Got Talent. Their next appearance on the show will be soon. In the meantime, they’re back in the Natural State.
They were first known as the “Hey Grude” guys; three friends in college making YouTube videos. Their next viral hit was a Razorback anthem they wrote titled “Never Yield.” Next, they went from YouTube to a national stage.
The country fell in love with the Benton trio on America’s Got Talent. They advanced to the next round. But with this new found fame, the guys have stayed humble.
“When people meet us, we want them to see the love of Christ,” says Triple Threat member Tyler Davis.
They attribute their success to their faith. They grew up singing in the church choir.
“Our church at First Baptist Benton has been such a support in such a huge way,” he adds.
Church members made up a big part of the crowd at a pep rally this week, filmed for America’s Got Talent.
As they wait for their next appearance, they’re singing on Sunday mornings.
“We sang at Church at Rock Creek for three services. It was a great experience,” Davis says.
And they’re counting their blessings for this experience.
“We wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for Jesus. It’s helped us stay grounded and humble and that’s a big reason we’ve had so much success that we’ve been who we are, we’ve tried to show the love of Christ.” says Davis. “He’s opened up so many doors for us. We’re blessed way more than we deserve.”
