Faith Matters: A.D. Series Premiere Easter Sunday

LITTLE ROCK, AR – We are just over a week away from Easter and the launch of a new series on NBC titled A.D. is picking up where the Bible series left off.

After the huge success of the Bible series, Touched By an Angel star Roma Downey and husband Mark Burnett debut the highly anticipated series A.D.

“In A.D., the Bible goes through Jesus’s resurrection and crucifixion. And the story beyond,” says actor Andy Levy.

Adam Levy plays the role of Peter. Chipo Chung plays Mary Magdalene. They’re a part of huge cast bringing The Bible to life.

“We’ve been out here in the desert of Moroco for the past six months working on the largest set in Morocco,” says Chung.

“As you can see the environment here we’re in first century Jerusalem. We built this set out of stone,” says Levy.

Setting the scene to recreate some of the biggest moments in biblical history.

“Starts with a group of disciples that take the baton from Jesus and struggle to what is today a billion people movement of Christianity.”

The cast hopes the story offers hope and promise. A story of hope, a story of faith and what faith means, which is believing the impossible. Believing in what one cannot see.

The series A.D. premieres right here on KARK April 5th, Easter Sunday.
