LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A 2016 Facebook post promising to split a $1.3 billion Powerball jackpot if a specific ticket won the grand prize is making the rounds on Facebook.

The January 10, 2016 post reads, “LUCKY TICKET? News Director Austin Kellerman promises to split the $1.3 billion #Powerball prize with everyone who shares this on their page.  Good luck!”  The text is accompanied by a picture of a ticket with Powerball numbers.

The post has been shared in recent weeks by people claiming the ticket was a winner.  People writing the post tell users to share the images to get a piece of the jackpot.

However, the ticket wasn’t a winner.

Over the last few weeks, KARK has received dozens of Facebook posts and emails from people asking for their share of the money.  KARK staff is attempting to individually respond to each message.
