CONWAY, Ark. –  The city of Conway is encouraging more diversity among Conway businesses.

Next Tuesday the chamber of commerce is hosting its first Connect Conway Minority Entrepreneur Night.

It will be inside the Old Chicago Pizza, and the goal is to focus on professionals who represent diversity in the city.

“Everyone is going to come together for networking, get to know other entrepreneurs in the community and then we will have a pitch event where people can pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges and an entire audience,” says Kim Lane.

First place winner and people’s choice winner will win $500 and a number of other perks in cooperation with the Conway Chamber and Little Rock Chamber.

Tickets are $10 and the event starts at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 26.
