EL DORADO, Ark. (KTVE) – Two veterans who served their country decades ago received their diplomas Monday night at El Dorado High School’s graduation.
Arkansas lawmakers made this opportunity available for veterans several years ago.
Military men and women who served in either World War II, the Korean or Vietnam War can receive their diplomas if they weren’t able to get one because of active duty.
“We’re so grateful for their service and are pleased to do this for them,” says Katie Sandifer.
School officials say the district took a break for a few years in providing these diplomas but they’re now back at it.
