LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (News release) – A limited number of tickets are now available for the Clinton Presidential Center’s “Curbside Couture,” Arkansas’s largest “green” fashion show. Tickets are $42 and can be purchased online at: www.clintonpresidentialcenter.org/curbsidecouture.
The Clinton Center’s “Curbside Couture,” now in its 8th year, offers students in third-twelfth grade the opportunity to apply their creativity and technical skills to create wearable designs made of recycled material. The innovative designs modeled in the fashion show are the product of months of hard work by both student designers, educators, and mentors. More than 201 individuals and teams from 33 schools registered to participate this year. Registered student designers had the opportunity to attend a mentoring session with Korto Momolu, the first runner-up winner of Project Runway’s fifth season, the Clinton Center’s own Connie Fails, and other designers.
Winning designs are chosen by a panel of jurors, and winning student designers will be awarded a cash prize at the Curbside Couture fashion show. This year, prize amounts have been increased in recognition of the skills and talent demonstrated by the student designers.
