Conway Police Department Delivers Coats to Kids in Need

News

CONWAY, Ark. — A local police department was giving the gift of warmth this holiday season.

Saturday morning the Conway Police Department packed up almost one-hundred coats in their cars.

Those coats were handed out to kids in the community thanks to grant money and donations from the community, and of course, the officers themselves.

Conway PD says they took this on because it’s important that no kid goes cold this winter, and as Sgt. Ryan Britton added, “It’s a way to give a positive interaction with the police department, and to provide them with a warm coat for the winter.”

This is the second year for the coat hand out.
