Arkansas’s 2018 primary elections are just over a month away.
All four of the state’s republican congressmen are running for re-election.
Two of them are facing primary challengers.
In the Fourth District, Randy Caldwell, a minister, is challenging two term incumbent Bruce Westerman.
Caldwell has no experience in politics, but believes Congressman Westerman has been ineffective in his four years in Congress, and says he’ll be able to get more done.
“The lack of what I feel needed to be done and the lack of putting bills through, sponsoring them, even co-sponsoring them, and not trying to just, not trying to run anybody down but there’s a lack of getting things done and I just feel like – and I know that god had called me to do this – and I believe I can get more done.”
You can see our full interview with Randy Caldwell, including his thoughts on health care, guns, and the future of Republican leadership on Capitol View, Sunday morning at 8:30 right before Meet the Press.
