CADC to Distribute USDA Commodities in South Arkansas

EL DORADO, AR (News release) – Central Arkansas Development Council will distribute USDA Commodities February 10 & 11 in Calhoun, Dallas and Ouachita Counties and February 12 & 13 in Columbia and Union Counties. 

The food items to be distributed may include Canned Pork, Peaches, Raisins, Green Beans, Whole Kernel Corn, Sweet Peas, Tomato Soup, Canned White Potatoes, Peanut Butter and Grape Juice.

The distribution in Calhoun, Dallas and Ouachita Counties will be held February 10 & 11 at the following locations:

Calhoun County’s distribution will begin at 9 a.m. at the CADC Office, 210 South Lee in Hampton.

Dallas County’s distributions will begin at 9 a.m. at the CADC Fordyce Office at 410 E. 4th St. and First Baptist Church at 225 Ethel St. in Sparkman.

Ouachita County’s distribution will begin at 9 a.m. at Carnes Park at 955 Adams Ave. in Camden.

The distributions in Columbia and Union Counties will be held February 12 & 13 in the following locations:

Columbia County’s distributions will begin at 9 a.m. at the Columbia County Fairgrounds at 101 Columbia 13 in Magnolia.

Union County’s distribution will begin at 9 a.m. at the Old Brookshire Shopping Center in the Old Sears Building at 1430 Northwest Avenue in El Dorado.

All customers receiving commodities must present identification. To be eligible, income guidelines must be met. Income guidelines for this program are based on 130% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Based on these guidelines, a one-person household must make less than $15,171 per year to qualify for this program. For each additional family member, add $5,278.
