BRYANT, Ark.- Stepping up to the plate, Bryant’s baseball and softball teams spent hours cleaning the city’s fields after last week’s storms left the diamonds pretty rough.
Dozens of coaches, parents and players met at Bishop Park.
They brought in heavy machines to pick up debris from flash floods that submerged the fields.
The damage is so extensive, all practices and games this week were either moved or canceled.
One coach calls the work all part of the game.
“We’re just ready to get back on the field,” says Jeremy Hipps, a softball coach.
Volunteers say they plan on organizing another clean-up this week.
