NEW YORK, NY – A Bryant boy is a finalist in a national Boys & Girls Club competition.

This week is the final week to vote for Ethan Harris, 11, to win the 2013 Maytag Dependable Leader Awards – America’s Vote competition.  

Maytag® brand and Boys & Girls Clubs of America selected Ethan as one of five finalists for the Award which recognizes Boys & Girls Club professionals and volunteers who are committed to making a difference in the lives of youth. 

Voting to select the awardee and recipient of the $20,000 grant ends Friday, Nov. 29 at 11:59 p.m. ET. 

Ethan’s entry information states: 
Ethan has a servant’s heart. His passion for giving and philanthropy extends far beyond his 11 years — he is the youngest person to receive the “Hometown Hero Award” for his charitable efforts within the community. He inspires everyone around him to do more and to strive to be a better person.

America’s Vote is an extension of the Dependable Leader Awards, inviting people across the U.S. to select the final Maytag Dependable Leader Award winner in 2013 by voting online (click here). You can also learn more about Ethan, the other finalists and the work that they do for their communities.
