LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- One teen is dead and a man is in serious condition after a shooting Tuesday night in Little Rock.

It happened just before 9 p.m. on Cantrell and Cleveland, according to police both men were shot in a car.

The shooting is now being investigated as a homicide.

“Pop pop pop pop, it was loud,” said David Coates, Lives on Normandy,  “all of a sudden there was like six police cars out here with all the blue lights going so you knew something bad had happened.”

David Coates has been living in his home for nearly a decade and was shocked to find out two people had been shot across the street.

Coates could see the whole scene from his front window and he even heard the gun shots.

“So there were at least six shots, when it happened I thought 5 or 6. You know pop pop pop pop,” said Coates.

“Cammack Village heard those shots, one of their officers started patrolling the area and came a little south to Cantrell here and located a vehicle, this vehicle behind me. There was a male inside suffering from a gunshot wound,” said Eric Barns, LRPD.

Officer Eric Barnes with Little Rock Police said 19-year-old Nicolas Jones was found in the driver seat of a car with a gunshot wound. Jones later died from his injuries.

Another man was also shot, 21-year-old Daishaun Allen. Police said they found Allen walking just north of the area with a gunshot wound to his leg.

Police said Allen was sitting in the backseat behind Jones when he was shot.

LRPD said Allen is in serious condition.

“Its normally a pretty quiet area, I had no idea what was going on,” said Coates.

Little Rock Police said they currently do not have a suspect in the shooting.
