Three men shot at NLR apartment complex

Breaking News

UPDATE: 07/05/2020–

Neighbors at Shorter College Garden Apartments describe the shooting Sunday as ‘nerve-racking.”

“When I saw yellow tape I said, “Did someone die?’ said Audrey Marion.

Marion says she has lived in the apartment complex for two years. She has two little kids and after learning of the shooting that sent three to the hospital, she says she will be looking for a new place to live.

“We just had somebody die last month, a 15 year old teenager, we don’t really know who did it or how– so it’s kind of scary,” said Marion.

Another woman who lives in the complex says she will be extra careful when taking her grandchildren outside.

“It is scary out here, so you have to be cautious when you come out.” said Carolyn Edwards.

Edwards says she hopes to see more officers in the area until the shooter is arrested.

“Ain’t too much we can do except call on God and ask the police to try and be out here to protect us and save us,” said Edwards.

Police have not released the condition or identity of the victims and are still looking for the shooter.
