A McDonald County man offers a reward for a beloved llama that was found shot dead.
The owner of the llama, Craig Hayes, says his llama “Llrenzo,” was shot and killed over the weekend. The llama was used to help protect his cattle.
Hayes says he’s not sure if someone thought the llama was a deer and shot it. Hayes is offering a $500 cash reward for information leading to what happened.
McDonald County Sheriff Michael Hall says there was a police report filed yesterday. Hall says they are treating it as a poaching investigation currently.
