BEEBE, Ark,.–A Beebe woman is upset after she says someone shot and killed her dog.

Sherri Munnerlyn said her dog Juliet, recently had a litter of puppies and now she’s trying to keep them alive.

She filed a report with the White County Sheriff’s office and she says they told her it was a civil issue.

She just wants to know why someone would shoot and kill her precious dog.

“I’m upset and she has 7 puppies I’m trying to take care off,” Munnerlyn said.

Sherri Munnerlyn is still wondering why someone shot and killer her dog Juliet leaving the pups without a mom.

“I heard gun shots and I ran outside and I saw all my dogs except Juliet. I started screaming Juliet and I ran down the street and I found her in front of the next door neighbors house,” Munnerlyn said.

She said it happened Thursday on Swinging Bridge Road in Beebe.

She thinks someone in the area shot the dog.

“It’s horrible and I’m worried what about my other animals what if they run away from me and run into the yard and get shot,” Munnerlyn said.

Munnerlyn said the people responsible took away her best friend.

“I’d like them to think about how I feel. She had babies you should have been able to tell from looking at her that she had puppies,” Munnerlyn said.

Now she if forced to nurse the puppies and make sure they stay healthy.

“We’ve been giving them bottles they cry all the time and we have been up all night for hours,” Munnerlyn said.

She said the tragedy won’t bring back her Juliet and hopes others will think before they act.

“She was gentle, the most gentle sweet dog she had the bluest eyes and her ears stood up. I hope that they think what they are doing affects others. That they think this is somebody’s dog,” Munnerlyn said.

Munnerlyn said when the puppies get a little older she is going to put them up for adoption.
She already has plans to take them to the vet.
