LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – At least 15 people were without a home early Saturday morning after a fire ripped through an apartment building.

The Little Rock Fire Department (LRFD) got a call just before 2 a.m. Saturday about a fire at Sturbridge Apartments located at 1400 Old Forge Drive in West Little Rock. When firefighters got on scene, they saw smoke and flames.

A LRFD spokesperson says a teenager jumped from a second-floor window to escape. The teenager was taken to Arkansas Children’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

One other person was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities say at least three apartment units suffered water damage and another eight suffered smoke damage.

The American Red Cross is helping the people displaced.

No word yet on what sparked the fire.
