Old State Museum: First Ladies of Arkansas Exhibit

The Old State House Museum will open its newly renovated exhibit, “First Ladies of Arkansas: Women of their Time” on September 14.

This exhibit celebrates the lives of Arkansas’s first ladies, before, during, and after their years as first ladies, with artifacts and special pieces from their lives. This collection is the largest single collection of first ladies’ gowns in the U.S. outside of the Smithsonian.

First Ladies of Arkansas: Women of Their Times” will open to the public Friday, September 14th,  from 5 – 8 p.m. (during 2nd Friday Art Night)

  • Admission is free, and there will be fun, hands-on activities for the whole family
  • A specially-created flavor of ice cream from Loblolly will debut!
  • After the opening, the exhibit will be open during regular museum hours, Monday – Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays 1-5 p.m.
