Arkansas Firefighters Train on New Safety Gear

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The latest technology in first responder training equipment and personal protective gear for keeping firefighters safe was on display today at the Little Rock Training Center.

More than 20 fire departments from around the state came to town to check out the LION Mobile Fire Experience.

They got some hands-on training with digital fire simulations and gear made out of new cancer-fighting materials that help reduce exposure to carcinogens on the job.

“One of the big things that we do is try to find ways to minimize injury as well as long-term safety risk,” says Ray Perez-Pearson, LION Mobile Fire Experience.

The LION Mobile Fire Experience spent three days at the Little Rock Training Center.
