This week’s Pet of the Week is Muffin. She has had a rough time, she first came to the Humane Society of Pulaski County in 2010.
She was rescued from a puppy mill along with other dogs. She was adopted by a nice lady, and lived with her for about two years, until the lady died.
Muffin had nobody else to take her, so she was returned to the shelter, scared and confused.
Shelter workers say it takes a while for her to warm up but patience and a lot of lap time seem to be helping. She definitely needs patience and time to adjust to you, and really needs a quiet home and some reassurance that she doesn’t have to be afraid. At about 10 years old, she has some very good years left. She probably needs patient adult(s), and no young children.
The Humane Society of Pulaski County is featuring the Young People’s Art Contest. The deadline is April 15th and the theme is “Be Kind to Animals” for more information click here.
