The group of constituents, many veterans, had a chance to meet with the congressman’s staff about specific issues they face.
One veteran confronted Congressman Cotton unexpectedly about a hot-button issue in the news, asking how he plans on addressing sexual assaults in the military.
The congressman told the woman the government needs to help service men and woman get through the difficulties they face, since they give so much for their country.
When asked if the veteran was satisfied with the Congressman’s answer, “Yes I was,” said Jenny Lee. “I voted for him because I believe he can help us, because things need to change.”
Other concerns the veterans voiced centered on the future of the medicaid and medicare programs, and government spending.
