FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) — Aftershocks from an earthquake that struck on Friday morning near Stroud, Okla. were felt across Northwest Arkansas, officials say.
The National Weather Service in Little Rock said aftershocks from the 8:47 a.m. earthquake registered on the seismograph at Hobbs State Park near War Eagle.
The earthquake had a 4.2 magnitude and hit eight miles northwest of Stroud, according to the United States Geological Survey.
Aftershocks also registered on the seismograph from the Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View, according to the National Weather Service in Little Rock.
