A Day of Action: Clinton Foundation, Arkansas Foodbank Helps People Impacted by Government Shutdown

News

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Staff and volunteers with the Clinton Foundation and the Arkansas Foodbank packed up boxes on Thursday for people affected by the government shutdown.

It was called “A Day of Action”.

They sorted and packed 10,000 baby diapers, and the book called “Diaper Time is Talk Time”.

Those diapers will be available for pick up at several locations in Little Rock starting this weekend.

“This is what we do. We respond to people in crisis,” says Rhonda Sanders, the CEO of Arkansas Foodbank. “And our federal workers and those affected by the federal shutdown have been in crisis. We are doing our part with numerous partners to step up and help provide them the things they need during this time.”

Government employees can pick up the diapers Saturday at the Clinton Presidential Center lobby and next week at the Youth Services Office and the Small Business Administration Office.
