Team USA works hard preparing for Olympic competition.
They recently got a chance to play hard too.
Team USA gets a private party, complete with a concert by The Band Perry, at the USA house.
“It’s our very first USA House we’ve ever been to, so it’s pretty awesome,” Reid Perry said.
“It’s our very first Olympics,” Kimberly Perry added.
“It’s a house but nobody actually stays here,” Neil Perry noted.
So even though it might be more like a clubhouse, the athletes say it is the perfect hangout.
“You couldn’t ask for a better night after winning an Olympic medal, you just come kick it at the Team USA house,” Olympic swimmer Conor Dwyer said.
The Band Perry liked it so much, they considered becoming stowaways.
“There are a ton of rooms and they look pretty empty so I bet we can sort of sneak in there and close the doors,” Neil said.
Team USA chose The Band Perry’s song ‘Live Forever’ as their official team song, so Neil, Kimberly and Reid have been able to make memories which will last forever.
They were ecstatic to see Michael Phelps get his 20th and 21st gold medal.
“We started an actual Michael chant in the room itself. You know that first person that starts one and the rest of the room picks it up? We were them,” Reid said proudly.
The Band Perry said that that was a very proud moment for the three of them.
